Madina Media Museum

The Madinah heritage media Museum is a small, tightly-packed museum with a lot to communicate.

Inside you will find models, illustrations and a theatre where, in addition to illustrations of various cameras and media, films actually bring to life its primary subject, the history and construction of the Prophet’s Mosque. It is located quite close to the Masjid al-Nabawi, just 0.3km away as the crow flies and not far from our hotel in Madinah.

There are schematics of famous battles and detailed layouts of the Prophet's original home and the burial grounds, as well as illustrations of how the city of Madinah used to look in the days of the Prophet and how it has grown since then. There is even a geological breakdown of the types of rocks and landscape that make up the city and the country.

As mentioned above, this is primarily about the development of the Masjid al-Nabawi, The Prophet’s Mosque, from its planning and foundations, through the construction to the final mighty structure we know today. There are also exhibits concerned with the development of the city of Medina, Islam in Saudi Arabia and the media as well, with exhibits of film cameras and video machines! Central to the display is a documentary film on DVD available in various languages, showing the development of the Masjid al-Nabawi,
